More Evidence of a World Gone Mad

Just because the main stream media doesn’t cover something, does not mean it’s not true, truthful or real.

First, the EU has determined that water isn’t healthy. That’s correct. Don’t think I am trying to bullshit you. They (the EU), released a report that’s taken 3 years to generate, stating that water isn’t healthy and doesn’t relieve dehydration.

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/284426/EU-says-water-is-not-healthy

After a meeting in Italy a delegation of scientists concluded that reduced water content in the body was a symptom of dehydration rather than a risk factor that drinking water could control. Now their verdict has been turned into a regulation that will become UK law by December 6 and is bound to send shockwaves through the soft drinks industry.

The bizarre diktat from Brussels has far-reaching implications for member states, including Britain, as no water sold in the EU can now claim to protect against dehydration.

Any producer breaching the order, signed by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, faces being jailed for up to two years. It took the 21 scientists on the panel three years of analysis into the link between water and dehydration to come to their extraordinary conclusion.

Now let’s see here, how should I reply to this?

Wow.

They’re fucking nuts.

Too many eggheads in one basket?

Morons.

Idiots.

They’re in so much financial trouble over there and they finance a study and the conclusion is this? Everyone on the planet not only knows it’s common sense that water re-hydrates you, it’s the basic and essential need of every animal on earth. How do we know this without their scientific knowledge, experience and “proof”, because if we don’t drink water, we die. Sure, you can drink other stuff to replace water, but it has water in it. Without the water, you wouldn’t have the “other stuff”. Without water = death. With water = life. Living vs. Death. Seems to me the epitome of being “healthy”.

Duh.

Fucking idiots.

Addendum 7-3-2013:

Now, American Journalists are producing headlines concerning American medical professionals stating that we Americans are dehydrated and in serious need of more water in our daily lives!

http://miami.cbslocal.com/2013/07/02/chronic-dehydration-more-common-than-you-think/

Dehydration is one of the easiest conditions to reverse, according to doctors, but it is also one of the most commonly overlooked. It can contribute to a long list of medical conditions from respiratory and circulation problems to headaches, ulcers, high blood pressure and kidney disease.

“Sixty-percent of our bodies are composed of water, 75 percent in our muscles, 85 percent in our brains, it’s like oil to a machine,” explained Dr. Roberta Lee.

Most people know that they are supposed to drink water, but up to 75 percent of Americans may be functioning in a chronic state of dehydration, according to new research.

“We have a tendency in the U.S. to drink a lot of beverages that are mildly dehydrating,” said Mary Grace Webb, Assistant Director for Clinical Nutrition at New York Hospital.

How can this be?

First, how can CBS justify not backing the .eu folks? You know, all of the mainstream media outlets think anything european is great! and everything in America is crap!

Second, one must assume that if both sides are touting completely opposite opinions, one side is correct, the other side is incorrect. Who will make the monumental judgement as to who is correct?

GASP!

There’s nothing common about “Common Sense”.

09.12.2010 (1:32 pm) – Filed under: Dirge for the Repose of the Moronic,Pro Bono Philosophy

Common Sense, as we knew it, is no more. It’s gone. The vast majority of reasonable people in this World have given into the spin that’s inundating our societies. Nothing is truthful any more. No matter what is talked about, written about or videoed in real-time, caught on film with witnesses to the effect thereof, nothing is truthful. Everything has an angle and someone out there can spin it out of control and outside the realm of reality. Something someone says on video tape, with witnesses to the effect is spun in each direction possible by a plethora of detractors and supporters from every corner of the societies involved. Someone can go on stage and simply state “The car was red.” From that point forward, the truth becomes a matter of media corruption. And, it’s not just the media that’s involved in this type of whoring of data. It’s the common every day folk. One person reads a slant to an event on Facebook that someone else has posted from a fringe website and everything completely balloons out of proportion from that point forward.

Let’s take the case of the Dept. of Agriculture rep Shirley Sherrod and how the video of her was spun in both directions because the originating poster, BigGovernment.com (Breitbart) cropped the video (please don’t say ‘edited’ as that implies, at least to me, some form of falsification, whereby cropping may leave parts out contextually, editing could involve injecting sounds, video, etc.) and supposedly, the video was taken out of context. The Whitehouse almost immediately condemned her words, the NAACP later did the same and finally, when the full context of the video was released, BigGovernment.com did an about-face and condemned the Whitehouse and NAACP for their original condemnation. This story is a multi-level example of how things can be twisted and I for one thought when the video was originally released and in the first hour, that’s exactly what Breitbart wanted to do/show. I further think, that was the ultimate goal without actually getting someone fired, although, a mid-level functionary such as Ms. Sherrod could be used a cannon fodder to prove a point. In the end, I believe she did get her job offered back to her (not looking it up, it’s not important for the process of this post).

There are so many detractors for different events these days, unless you are standing there (and sometimes then, they can spin the crap out of things after-the-fact and make you think that what you saw wasn’t really what you saw), that NOTHING is as it seems. The entire world has turned into “Wag the Dog” with a dose of David Copperfield, David Blane and Chris Angel for good measure. I can guarantee you, any major news story, when read from only one source, can sway your judgement to the point that you are from that point forward, if you don’t immediately seek input from other sources, determined “that’s the way it happened alright.” Again, it’s just not the media, it’s individuals as well. Eye witnesses, setting on chairs, 10 ft. from the event, will give you many different versions of what-happened. They cannot simply give you a chronological list of events as they occur during the activity. They’ll inject their views and opinions into their retelling of the event, making it damn near impossible, unless they’re on the witness stand, under-oath and otherwise being hammered by a top-notch prosecutor, to get the truth, the whole-truth and nothing but the truth, so help them God. They’ll give you an account of what happened alright, but it’s what happened in *their minds* and how the person was affected as a youth by being beaten by his father and how the person had spent time in a Turkish Prison which caused him to like getting it up the arse by a flea infested camel, that’s what happened. Yea.

It’s time people come to realize, the truth matters. It’s not about what-all you can get out of someone with little to no effort. It’s about how much integrity you have and how well you treat your fellow man. The time for “salesperson” mentalities are over. It’s time to quit judging and start witnessing the truth. To witness doesn’t just involved seeing or hearing something happen, it’s about relaying that information to someone else. “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” Don’t lie! Tell the truth! Stand up for what’s right and just, not for what’s popular at that particular time. Don’t inject opinion where an opinion isn’t warranted. Tell it exactly like it happened. Pass information on to others as if your life depends on the truth to be told. For Pete’s sake, stand for what’s right and not for what you can get right now!

More about honesty and integrity… and a little consideration to boot.

09.12.2010 (9:39 am) – Filed under: Dirge for the Repose of the Moronic,Interesting Theories

I was just reading this article: http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/12/08/wikileaks.students/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

Within that article, a professor states the following:

“The security clearance asks whether or not you’re a risk when it comes to sensitive material. This could be one indicator that, when taken together with others, creates a broader pattern that might suggest you’re not a person to be hired,” said Pepperdine University law professor Gregory McNeal, who specializes in national security law.

They may very well take into account your opinion, as a job candidate, whether or not you think WikiLeaks is a good thing or bad thing for the country,” he said. “It’s a small issue, but one to approach with caution if I were a student seeking a job in the national security field.”

E-mails went out last week to students at several schools, including Boston University’s School of Law, Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, cautioning students against commenting on or posting links to the documents on social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter.

Do you realize what that professor just said? Read between the lines. “Don’t admit that you’ve read these documents or you may not be able to get a security clearance.”

I’ve held that security clearance he’s speaking of. Let me tell you something, if you withhold the information and THEY find out about it, it’s a helluvalot worse than if you’re upfront about it to begin with.

Worse so than that, this professor is telling students not to admit they’ve read the wikileaks documents. They’re also saying that the information contained therein is still classified material of the U.S. Federal Government. Are they telling students these things to get them to falsify their security clearance applications in order to more easily gain their security clearances? Why? Just to get a job? I think not.

It’s worrisome to me that a professor would first, not be aware of what they’re advising students to do or not to do. Secondly, it’s worrisome that they’re probably not just doing this for the sake of the students, but for some other nefarious reason. It’s also worrisome that people are going to point the finger at me and say I am a conspiracy nut, when in fact, we have proof positive (wikileaks docs) that there are sleepers inside the government and military willing to leak classified documents for their cause.

Where has the honesty, integrity and consideration gone in this country?

Why, as people of authority, are professors leading students down the road to a felonious charge by law enforcement? Lying on a security clearance application is a crime. And they’re doing this in a public forum. A friggin CNN interview! My God!

Amazing…..

Harry Reid: Idiot?

Jesus….. why the fuck do we allow people like this to hold offices of power?!?!?!?!?! They’re fucking idiots.

Year After Reprimand, Obama ‘Safe School Czar’ Run Seminar Handed Out ‘Fisting Kit’…

http://biggovernment.com/2009/12/08/fistgate-ii-high-school-students-given-fisting-kits-at-kevin-jennings-2001-glsen-conference/

In March 2000 the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) organization of Massachusetts held its 10 Year Anniversary GLSEN/Boston conference at Tufts University. This conference was fully supported by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Safe Schools Program, the Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and some of the presenters even received federal money. During the 2000 conference, workshop leaders led a “youth only, ages 14-21″ session that offered lessons in “fisting” a dangerous sexual practice. During another workshop an activist asked 14 year-old students, “Spit or swallow?… Is it rude?” The unbelievable audio clip is posted here. Barack Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings is the founder of GLSEN. He was paid $273,573.96 as its executive director in 2007. Jennings was the keynote speaker at the 2000 GLSEN conference.

the entire fucking world is going mad.

Meat. That’s the real problem with global warming.

What a fucking idiot.

Sure, methane is 23 times more potent as an ozone killer than carbon dioxide. But who has PROVEN that “green house gases” are causing the problem. Abso-fucking-lootley no-one. All of this “scientific evidence” as “they say”, has no basis. The data, as presented, isn’t showing overwhelming proof of anything. It’s just another way for the holly-libs to point the finger at corporate America in yet another attempt to bring the country to it’s knees.

Recently snipped from an email sent to me:

“…I don’t care if you lick windows, ride the short bus or occasionally pee on yourself. You hang in there sunshine – you’re friggin’ special.”

Classic!

Stupidity.

14.11.2006 (3:17 am) – Filed under: Dirge for the Repose of the Moronic

Being stupid isn’t a handicap. You don’t get extra points to “even up” the playing field. You’re not mentally handicapped. You’re stupid. Stupidity can be reversed, a mental disability cannot. Read, learn, educate yourself. It’s not our job to “tolerate” or “overlook” your shortcomings if you’re stupid. Therefore, I hereby reserve the right to ignore the chronically stupid.

75% (or more) of the Earth’s population is dirt-stupid.

07.10.2003 (3:07 am) – Filed under: Dirge for the Repose of the Moronic

Don’t believe me? You’re probably in the 75%. It’s amazing to me how “educated” people survive. Most people learn a trade or a profession and maybe a single hobby, past that, they’re out of their realm and haven’t a clue. Being clueless is a way of life, especially in America, where if you’re middle class or above, everything is basically handed to you. I am only 33 years old at the time of this blog entry. I can’t say that I walked two miles, up hill, in the snow, to school and then back home, up hill, 3 miles in a blizzard…. but I can say… I had to “fix it” myself when I was growing up because we didn’t always have the money to afford little extra things…. like someone fixing the starter on my car, like hiring a carpenter to fix a window on the house, like hiring a plumber to fix a busted pipe. I learned everything, basically on my own, because I HAD TO. Guess what? I am better off from it.

The reason that people “can’t do” probably goes back to not trying. If you don’t rip things apart, sometimes breaking them, sometimes leaving parts out when you put them back together, you’ll not learn how to work on things. This doesn’t just apply to physically working on something with your hands. It’s the same with mental exercises also. It’s like the old saying, “..if you don’t use it, you lose it.” Whether you’re using your mind or your hands, if you don’t try, you’ll fail, if you don’t practice, you’ll fail also. “Practice makes perfect.” If you’re not willing to fuck something up, chances are, you’ll not learn a damn thing.

I was formally trained as an Electronics Technician. I went through Electronics School and many other “schools”. Frankly, I was trained in one of the best ElTech schools in the country…. however, I wasn’t prepared enough to go out into the field and immediately start fixing this or that. That’s not how it works. Ok. Most of us know this…. Why I am I going on about it? It’s simple: The look on the faces of “interns” or new-hires at professional organizations, when they first come out of college or trade school with all the piss and vinegar still running through their veins. See, it’s a wake up call when you arrive at your new job only to learn that just about everything taught in the core elements of your chosen profession are thrown out the window and new material is jambed into your head. If you’re not willing to adapt, move out of the way because someone like me will run up your back, poke you in the eyeball and make you cry your way back to mommy. That “look”, the day they finally “get it”, when you’re looking at them and it dawns on them that they’re relatively stupid…. heh. I love it. “The Look” is priceless.

Every day, I deal with support issues on computer systems, networks, servers, from the basic end-user to admins alike, in several different job roles. As stated elsewhere in this blog, I work several different jobs during the day…. not all of ’em are *real* jobs, however, they’re all “full time”. I do computer consulting work for small businesses, basically I am a contracted IT person for small, mom & pop businesses, doctors offices, lawyers, etc. I also help out a friend that owns an Outfitter company where he runs a campground, ATV rentals and guide services for outdoor activities. I am a volunteer fire fighter, which I run as many calls as I possibly can… usually, I run the most out of all the members at our station… we run around 350 per year or so, I usually average 50% or higher per yer… And the guy that owns the outfitter company also is into a lot of other things, like he owns a body shop and does hauling for folks… so I go with him…. all over the place really… Then there’s my night-job, as I call it… working online for yet another company… and I also do web development, domain hosting… “on the side”. So, as you can see, I keep myself very busy. Yes, I am into a lot… no, I do not have a family. Just me, the girlfriend, two dogs and two cats. We’re a happy lot :-) The point is… I get to see examples of some very stupid fucking people. Every day, I deal with some of the dumbest “smart” people you’ve ever met. I have a couple clients, Magna Cum Laude from law schools and from medical schools. It’s a wonder they can wipe their own asses. Ah hell, I am not complaining that they need help with _everything_, I am just theorizing how much money these people could save if they’d get their heads out of their asses long enough to just think about things for just a minute, take the time to learn how to do something on their own and quit paying people like me big bucks to do the most minute tasks for ’em. It’s really pitiful.

My rant boils over concerning computers. It’s amazing to me how the marketing power of Sears (selling those god-awful Packard Bells way-back-when), Microsoft, Gateway, Dell, HP, Staples, OfficeMax, Circuit City, Walmart, among others, have set the impression into the average American Citizen’s mind that _anyone_ can operate a home computer. Listen folks, XP is easy… fine.. it’s easy to turn on, log into, and point and click at the pretty little colored things…. however…. using a fucking recovery CD isn’t tech support…. and that’s what damn near _all_ computer manufacturers are resorting to. Why? Because the average computer user is too goddamn stupid to do anything else. Now, you’ve used the recovery cd and reverted back to the original installation… you’ve lost everything on the computer. You’ve wiped out all updates you’ve done (if you’ve done _any_ that is). You’re on dialup and you need to update your system…. What’s the current count for XP updates? Something like 130 meg or so? All the while, your vanilla install of XP is running Windows Messaging (spam popups anyone?) and completely vulnerable to what? Something like 30 or so root exploits? How the hell is Mr. Joe Average-Dumb-Ass suppose to keep up with this? Jesus. If you simply ask a person to “double click My Computer” you’ll get a “what’s that?”. People are fucking computer stupid.
